It. Hurts.

It was Sunday the 14th of February, 2016 – Valentine’s Day.

Chika got back from church and decided to have her lunch before calling Folu, the love of her life. As she sat down to her meal of yam porridge, prepared just the way she liked it, she reminisced on the events that led to her meeting Folu.

Bola: Chika, come outside, there’s someone who wants to see you.

Chika: What is the problem again, can’t someone have peace of mind anymore?

Chika walked outside to see who this ‘person’ was, and her heart stopped as she looked at the tall glass of chocolate milk standing before her.

Several minutes later, a couple of twitter conversations, and several hangouts later, Chika and Folu started what was a relationship, but really wasn’t a relationship.

Folu: I’m fine. Can you go somewhere that is quiet, there’s something I need to tell you.

At this point, Chika was already getting nervous.

Chika: I’m alone now, is anything wrong?

Folu: Remember when we met? The agreement wasn’t for me to like you this much. Now I really like you, and that wasn’t part of the plan.

I think it’s best we go our separate ways. I can’t do this anymore.

Chika: …
