After rounding up an assignment that I ought to have finished ages ago, I decided to take one of my many afternoon naps.
Then it began..
….
A friend of mine was ‘taken’ and enslaved by some witches. It took me a while to make up my mind, but I decided to go rescue her with the help of God.
I walked into the house where she was (which happened to be one of the houses I had lived in previously) kabashing and praying.
Somehow, I find myself lying on a bed speaking in tongues, and before you could say ‘Jack Robinson’, someone is trying to smother me with a pillow. At this point, I was speaking in tongues and trying to get the pillow off my face, but someone (or something) kept holding the pillow down.
I struggled for a while, and all of a sudden, I start shouting ‘Jesus’ at the top of my voice. While this was happening, the person holding the pillow down started struggling to get up, at which, I held them down and hollered even more (like bruh, where do you think you’re going to? Weren’t you just trying to kill me now? ππ).
After I felt the weight on the pillow lift, I threw the pillow off my face and sat up.
Two of the witches were sitting on a bed across from me, when I sat up. Then I asked for my friend.
….
This was a dream, just in case you’re wondering what kind of Nigerian movie life I’m living π, but notwithstanding that it was just a dream, and I could have chosen to ignore it, I took away a very valuable lesson from it.
- The name of Jesus is powerful/a mighty weapon/a strong tower/a double-edged sword
If you look at the 3rd paragraph of my dream, you’ll notice where I wrote, “At this point, I was speaking in tongues and trying to get the pillow off my face, but someone (or something) kept holding the pillow down”.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that tongues do not work. I personally have experienced first hand the power that speaking in tongues holds, but we know that at the name of Jesus, every knee must bow.
Prior to this dream, I must confess that I never really came to the full realization of what power the name of Jesus held. I probably had been singing “…there is power mighty in the blood of Jesus Christ, there is power mighty in the blood… ” at the top of my lungs all this while in church.
It’s just like when you don’t know that the metal rod you were given is a lightsaber, so you use it like a baton. Until the fateful day when you push the button and tada, you realize you can defeat Darth Vader much more easily (with cool buzzing sounds for effect).
I just saw one Star Wars movie and here I am dropping analogies π
“I struggled for a while, and all of a sudden, I start shouting ‘Jesus’ at the top of my voice. While this was happening, the person holding the pillow down started struggling to get up, at which, I held them down and hollered even more (like bruh, where do you think you’re going to? Weren’t you just trying to kill me now? ππ)”.
Hallelujah somebody
I finally found the button to turn my baton into a lightsaber, I finally found the key to turn to transform my truck into Optimus Prime…. (insert deeper analogy).
It might be a long-shot, but I guess the Holy Spirit was trying to make me aware of this fact, the name of Jesus will save you from every situation and circumstance.
Anyway, I bless God that rather than falling into a blind panic and calling up every single person I know to pray for me, I was able to learn and now I can share this wonderful revelation with others.
I would love for everyone reading this to keep this wonderful fact at the back of their mind. Jesus loves you and is ready to step into your situation.
Thankfully, you didn’t almost have to be killed (like me) before being brought to this realization.
Now that we know this, let us step out in faith and begin to put into use the name of Jesus!! πͺ
With love,
Ihuoma.
This is a really funny dreamπ€£

Wow, that dream sounds scary! I’m glad you’re alright and they didn’t smother you. What did the witches look like? I wish I had dreams like that but I’m good thanks. The name of Jesus is powerful, I remember once we had a car accident and I remember as we hit a bump before the car somersaulted I was jolted awake and shouted Jesus. The car was damaged but we weren’t hurt. It was some crazy stuff. First car accident I’ve ever been in! Also thank God for sense to wear seatbelts

Funny enough, they looked really good. Like your everyday hot Lagos, slay Queen.
No fangs, or nothing of that sort!

This dream is a wake up call to me, you should ask why didn’t the “speaking in tongues” work?
HIS name is over everything and anything. HE is telling you something regarding What you say “speaking in tongues”
