…I have already settled into the postgraduate hall (hostel, dorm) of my university π°
I am super excited to be here, I feel fulfilled, elated, excited, and any other word you can use to describe happiness.
Admist all the excitement, I must admit that once or twice thoughts of not being able to meet up with the expectations people have bother me (It’s too early to start thinking this way, no?)
Not to brag, but I graduated as the best student in my undergraduate program (microbiology), so everyone (side eye look at my parents π) unconsciously expects me to accomplish a similar feat in my postgraduate program.
Well, I have put measures in place, and started gingering myself to make sure I be the best I can be πΉ.
With that out of the way, and for those who have been asking, I am doing my Masters program in Covenant University.
I am specialising in Food Microbiology because, working in NAFDAC, a Food and Drug Regulatory body in Nigeria, has exposed me to the yawning gaps in the Food Regulatory Industry (not going to bore you with details), and also because I love food, and want to have plenty money π.
I have a beautiful room painted blue (my favorite color), an air conditioning unit, a hot water heater, a huge wardrobe (that I couldn’t fill up), so many other things at my disposal, and to crown it all up, an amazing roommate π―.
Also, Vwairhe is in her second year of her PG program, and she has been of immense help to me in just the 3 days I’ve been here (thank you booπ), and the best part is that, Bola will also be starting her own program here soon!!!
Talk about a win-win situation!
I am going to have two of my best friends here with me ππ, and I couldn’t be more grateful to God for an amazing opportunity like this.
I really hope I am able to share stories, my experiences, and tips from my postgraduate program for anyone who might be interested.
I have to catch some π΄ now, because walking from the PG dorm to CUCRID, to the ICT centre and then back to the PG dorm turned out to be more stressful than I thought.
If you have any questions, or anything at all you would like to share, please do leave them in the comment section below.
Have an amazing week.
With π,
Ihuoma.
Aww. I wish you all the best. You’ll be alright.

Congratulations dear. Are there rules guiding PG students too? π

The only ‘rule’ I’ve seen is that the PG hostel is locked by 11pm.
Every other thing goes.
