A New Direction

 

It is said that, ‘If the purpose of something isn’t known, then abuse is inevitable’. When I started this blog, one thing I really didn’t sit down and take my time to do, was to define the purpose of the blog.

In my very first post, ‘Hurray for Blogging’, I said I was going to write out transcripts for my tracks on SoundCloud, and leave links to these tracks. Well, I decided to put my podcast on hold for reasons best known to me and focus solely on blogging. So, I obviously couldn’t put up links to my tracks on SoundCloud. I also did say that I would do random posts, and tada, that’s all I’ve been doing anyways.

A couple of posts later, and plenty of time to think, I realized that what I really wanted to do was to share my faith, but in a fun, relatable context. I want people to read happily (which would be awesome, because a lot of people don’t like reading), laugh (or smile), and be able to say ‘Yes, Ihuoma is someone whom I look forward to reading her posts, because I can relate to what she’s saying’. So, I sat back and thought of ways to go about this.

Remember those random posts I said I was going to be doing? Yes?

Well, those random posts will now become the main feature of my blog. Unlike before, I will not draw out a list of the things I want to feature on the blog because I don’t want to limit myself.  I could decide to blog about style (this is funny because, I’m not one to deck up), or about food (my area of specialty), or events, or an amazing movie I saw, or even about relationships (LOL), but I will do my best to introduce variety to my posts.

So with that out of the way, I really do want to thank everyone who has read any of my posts. It’s been a little over a month since I started the blog, and my stats have been unbelievable. If I might have confused you at any time, please forgive me, I promise to be more clear and concise. If I might have bored you, I’m sorry, I am actually much more fun in person (just ask Alex). Thank you for the comments, and likes, and shares, I love you all, and God bless you.
